okekaki: a drawing program for uxn
Tags: creative process
okekaki is a minimalist drawing program that runs on Uxn and the Varvara operating system, developed by Devine Lu Linvega.
This wiki page exists because it seems Devine has not already documented how okekaki works on their website and will likely be deprecated in favour of that if/when it is.
The Uxn philosophy fits well with this project, and okekaki seems to be conducive to creating digital paintings that fit the aesthetic of The Way of Everything.

By default, the brush shapes correspond to brush sizes. You can right-click on the brush shape section of the side panel to switch it to caligraphy-style shapes
The thin horizontal bar in the bottom left corner adjusts the brush strength.
The white box divided by the black bar in the bottom left corner adjusts the edges of the brush. The brush has soft edges when the bar is at the top and hard edges when it's at the bottom
